The recently launched Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are now available in stores in the United States and Europe. The software giant's flagship devices could redeem Microsoft's crown as the best mobile developer.

These gadgets are now available in Spain, Netherlands and Germany, as per reports from GSM Arena. Microsoft Store and AT&T earlier announced that they are now offering the Microsoft Lumia 950.

Here are the specifications of Microsoft Lumia 950: the device is equipped with a 5.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1440 x 2560 pixels (564-ppi pixel density).

For its data processing capabilities, Lumia 950 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, Microsoft Windows 10 operating system, 32 GB internal memory expandable up to 200 GB via microSD card, and 3 GB RAM.

Its 20-megapixel main camera is powered with Carl Zeiss optics and optical image stabilization and 5 MP front snapper.

Moreover, the handset has Li-on 3000 mAh battery that can last for up to 336 hours standby time. The price for Lumia 950 stands at $590.

For Microsoft's another flagship device, here are the specifications for Microsoft Lumia 950 XL: the gadget sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor clocking at 2.0 GHz, runs on Windows 10 Mobile build 10586 operating system and comes with 32 GB internal memory, which can be upgraded up to 200 GB from microSD card.

Gadget lovers will love the phone's amazing display features. It has 5.7-inch OLED display with 1440x2560 pixels (518ppi pixel density).

It also comes with a 20 MP main camera with F/1.9 and OIS, 5 MP secondary snapper.

The power capacity of Lumia 950 XL is much higher than Lumia 950. The first one has a 3340mAh removable battery. The price of Lumia 950 XL is at $649.

User reviews said the handsets itself have very decent specs and hardware, but it is not all that different from what came before, save for the software. Microsoft has made some significant decisions regarding the developments of these devices.

A review from TechRadar says screen brightness has become more important for users than resolution since the phones have a 1080p resolution. The Lumia 950 does well enough outdoors and has wide enough viewing angles, but it could be brighter at its max.

For Microsoft's plans, an alleged Microsoft employee on Twitter known as Nawzil claimed that the tech giant will develop Microsoft Surface Pen compatibility to at least in the Lumia 950 XL in the future. However, it does not say whether Lumia 950 will have surface pen-touch compatibility.
