Apple might release new devices in the third quarter of 2016. Online reports said that the brand-new laptops will sport the most advanced specs and features available in the market. Now, here's what we know so far about Macbook release date, specs and rumors.

In an interview segment of "60 Minutes" on CBS with Bruce Sewell, viewers saw a MacBook placed on a desk behind the host. The alleged 2016 Apple MacBook Pro is at 15 inches in size. The device also has a Saturn Wallpaper, which the company has been using for promotions.

Apple followers might see the release of the much-awaited laptop at the Worldwide Developers Conference, which will be held in June 2016.

The strategy of having a few gap between the releasing of 15-inch MacBook Pro and the iPad Pro is a move that has been using by Apple in recent years, and it is evident they will adopt it again this year.

Rumors indicated that MacBook Pro would be powered with Apple's own next-generation processors, instead of Intel Processors. In addition, the laptop will boast the A-series mobile processing chip, which could be either the A9X chip or the new A10 chip.

For the MacBook Air, IBTimes reported that the company will highly likely launch the laptop within a few months after MacBook Pro.

Apple Inc. announced two month ago that the MacBook Air 2016 will be on sole this November, but the launch did not happen. Now, it is slated for release by spring of 2016 in order to make leeway for iPad Pro sales, according to Latinos Post.

Taiwanese website Economic Daily News reported that the company will indeed launch the MacBook Air 2016 next year.

The MacBook Air 2016 will house an Intel Skylake processor and Apple's OS X El Capitan operating system. Moreover, expect an improved graphics, RAM capacity and battery life.

Laptop users will also get tougher security features in the 2016 MacBook Air. The device is believed to have new biometric scan feature for online transactions like Apple Pay payments. It will also have the Touch ID within its Trackpad, together with Force Touch upgrade.

Users can also choose two different versions of MacBook Air. The laptop is set to have a 13-inch model and a 15-inch model.
