The New Year's Eve celebration in Paris, France has always been celebrated with fireworks around the most popular spot, the Eiffel Tower.  Unfortunately, the Paris attacks by terrorists in mid-November of this year has changed how New Year's Eve will be celebrated in 2015-2016.  This is what is known about 2015 Paris New Years Eve Fireworks, 2016 Countdown Live Stream Free: Watch Online France, TV Schedule, Start Time, plus Remembrance of Paris Attack Victims.

The Guardian reports that on this New Year's Eve, the official celebrations are being scaled back, and authorities are expecting fewer French and foreign visitors at year-end events that frequently draw more than 600,000 revelers to the Champs-Elysees.

This, of course, is a response to the attacks in Paris in mid-November, which the city's tourist industry is still suffering from.  The city thought about possibly canceling the festivities completely, but authorities in Paris decided to tone down the activities with security concerns in mind. The customary fireworks show at the Eiffel Tower has been replaced by a video displayed on the Arc de Triomphe, and there will be some fireworks there.  There is no word on how long the fireworks show will be, but it could be comparatively smaller in length and amount of fireworks if it were scaled down.

If you are in the French Capital and want to find some place to go, there are a lot of options, like those found in the New Year's Eve Paris website, which have some pretty well-organized parties.  According to New Years Eve Paris 2015, the epicenter of the best New Year's Eve activities will be the Champs-Elysees, starting around 9 PM when crowds watch the Eiffel Tower showcased by great lights at around midnight.  There might not be any fireworks, but that doesn't mean that people cannot remember the Paris Attack Victims.

Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo acknowledged that "the event will be above all symbolic" and "sending out a message to the whole world-Paris is standing, and the Parisians continue to live".  If you want to watch the New Year's Eve celebration in Paris from home, this could prove difficult.  It is possible to watch the event from local TV stations such as France 24, BFM TV, LCI, BBC World News, Euronews, and more.

Most sites like New Years Livestream refer to the Eiffel Tower's website, but since there will be no fireworks at that location this year, that will not help.  It is suggested to visit the official YouTube channel of various news channels to get a live stream, doing searches on sites like YouTube or Vimeo with "Paris New Years Eve 2016 Fireworks" could work, but users in the US should know about the time difference.   Live streaming sites from the Arc de Triomphe are also a good idea.
