The year 2015 was an interesting year for television, as Netflix, Amazon, and other companies were producing content that could only be seen on subscription and not on the cable networks.  The term "binge-watch" got more popular this year as there was simply more quality entertainment put out this year.   These are some of the Best TV Shows of 2015, as compiled by critics.

Of course, determining what is the best out of the year is a very subjective process, so this particular list is complied with Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic.  Rotten Tomatoes (RT) is a site where people can get access to reviews from a variety of critics in the United States, and it uses a percentage.  The scores on Metacritic (MC) are weighted averages as certain publications are given more significance based on their stature, and are also listed as a number from 1 to 100.  The lists of what is best and worst vary on these sites, but it is enough to determine what was worth watching on TV for 2015.

If there is a top show of the year, it would be Fargo: Season 2.  The show has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and 96 rating on Metacritic.  It would appear that the transition to the 1996 Coen brothers movie has taken a turn for the better, leaving viewers wondering what is in store for Season 3.

One of the biggest discrepancies between Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic as far as the Best TV Shows of 2015 is the Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul: Season 1.  Rotten Tomatoes has it as number one on their Top 10 list at a solid 100% over Fargo Season 2, but Metacritic has it rated at only 78.

Other shows are pretty even on Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes.  Transparent Season 2 rates a 93 on Metacritic and a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.  The Americans: Season 3 rates a 92 and a 100%.

There are other 100% shows on Rotten Tomatoes that are not very equal with Metacritic, including Catastrophe: Series 1 (83 MC), Deutschland 83: Season 1 (79 MC), The Knick: Season 2 (85 MC), and Master of None: Season 1 (91 MC).

Season 5 of the epic fantasy drama Game of Thrones received a 98% RT with a 91 MC rating, proving that the series still is quite popular, as most of the "best of" selections are Seasons 1 and 2.  Some other shows worthy of mentioning are Louie: Season 5 (91% RT, 91 MC), BoJack Horseman: Season 2 (100% RT, 90 MC), Veep: Season 4 (100% RT, 90 MC), Rectify: Season 3 (100% RT, 89 MC), Justified: Season 6 (100% RT, 89 MC), Marvel's Daredevil: Season 1 (98% RT, 75 MC) , and Mr. Robot: Season 1 (98% RT, 79 MC).
