2016 Nissan Titan XD Release Date, Specs, Features and Review: New Nissan Pickup Priced from $41,485

It looks like Nissan gears up to penetrate the full-size pickup truck market.   The latest XD model of Titan series is designed to tackle heavy-duty tasks while remaining, by definition, a light-duty pickup. The new pickup truck is larger and more powerful than the light-duty pickups, but smaller and energy efficient.  Here's the latest update about 2016 Nissan Titan XD release date, specs and review.

Specifications of the Titan XD include an enormous 5-liter V8 Cummins turbo diesel that produces 310 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque. The vehicle's towing capacity is more than 12,000 pounds, which is more powerful than Chevy's Silverado, Dodge's Ram 1500 or Toyota's Tundra.

It seems like everything about the Titan XD is big.  The vehicle has 151.6-inch wheelbase, or roughly 20 inches longer than its previous versions. Moreover, getting into the driver's seat of the vehicle requires a stepladder or a pole vault.

Even though the vehicle has heavy-duty-look on the outside, the Titan XD's interior is as comfortable as a Cadillac.  The driver is fitted with seat warmers, seat coolers and a great sound system. Its rear-view camera and Around View Monitor helps the driver to park the car easily. The cameras offer a 360-degree view to see the truck's surroundings while parking.

Titan XD's suspension system makes it possible to drive around the city and on the freeway; the vehicle is steady and smooth to drive.

Furthermore, the vehicle's interior features are power windows, cruise control, a sliding rear window and remote keyless entry. The vehicle is also capable of Bluetooth audio streaming.

Car buyers can get various utility packages, including a towing package; a comfort and convenience package; an option to delete the standard blind-spot monitors and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system. Moreover, factory-installed accessories like running boards, a tailgate lock and splash guards are also an option.

According to LA times, The 2016 Nissan Titan XD is the first in an entire line of new Nissans, joining the currently available small Frontiers and non-XD Titans.

Brent Hagan, the Titan's manager of product planning, said the 2016 Titan XD is for customers that say three-quarter-ton is too much, and the half-ton isn't enough. "This is something in between."

The 2016 Nissan Titan XD is now on sale. Its price starts at $41,485 including destination, according to Fox News.
