In line with Gareth Edward's upcoming "Star Wars" spin-off film, "Star Wars: Rogue One," new photos let fans have a glimpse on new costumes and weapons while Darth Vader is set to have a pivotal role in the upcoming film.

In a far, far away galaxy, the costumes from Edward's "Star Wars: Rogue One" are showcased at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, which will be open to the public this coming weekend. On Jan. 28, Star Wars Underworld tweeted a photo of the costumes on its official Twitter account and wrote, "Another #RogueOne Costume Spotted at Nuremberg Toy Fair."

The costumes in the said photo let fans appreciate them better, as they are hit by more direct lighting and they are more distinct while there are on full display, according to Cinema Blend.

One of the costumes featured at the Toy Fair is Diego Luna's costume, which closely resembled Han Solo's suit on the ice planet named Hoth. Luna is rumored to play the role of Biggs Darklighter, Luke Skywalker's friend. Another star, Jiang Wen from "Let the Bullets Fly," is set to unleash some heated battle while sporting his costume.

Jones, who may be playing the role of Lysa Erso, acts as the main protagonist of "Star Wars: Rogue One." The Toy Fair costume photo suggests that she would be sporting a leather jacket, a jaunty scarf, along with a low-slung blaster.

While the costumes do not provide much about their characters, their impact on the film's storyline is yet to be revealed. Some reports revealed that the characters are probably some outlaws recruited for a task while other reports claim that they are more than a mediocre rebel.

In other news, Darth Vader is set to rise in "Star Wars: Rogue One," despite his absence in J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens." According to JoBlo, Vader's role would be of a higher importance in the film. However, his impact on the story line of "Rogue One" and potentially, to Rian Johnson's upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII" is yet to be revealed.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," also called "Rogue One," serves as the first film in the "Star Wars Anthology" series, a collection of spin-off films set in the "Star Wars" universe. It centers on the rebels as they set out on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star.

The film stars Jones, Luna, Wen, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Riz Ahmed, and Jonathan Aris, among others.

With Edwards at the helm of the film, "Star Wars" director George Lucas, "Cinderella" writer Chris Weitz, "After Earth" writer Gary Whitta, and "Tomorrowland" visual effects supervisor John Knoll are on board to pen the film screenplay. Knoll, Simon Emanuel, Jason McGatlin, and Allison Shearmur are set to co-produce the film.

Edwards' "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on Dec. 16.
