For those that are "cutting the cord" as far as cable is concerned, that is pretty wise considering what is available on services such as subscription-based Netflix and Hulu Plus, offering the user the chance to watch programming on a computer, smartphone, tablet, or a connected TV.  It really just makes sense, and both Netflix and Hulu Plus have a lot to offer for the month of February 2016, and here are the most popular Movies as well as TV Shows.

Hulu

Hulu differs from Netflix in the sense that it can stream content from what the other networks are playing.  As a result, there is a bit more of a diversity of what you can watch, especially if you have a Hulu Plus description.

Much of what is revealed on Vulture are shows that will be coming to Hulu in February 2016, and much of it is not original content.  Some of the highlights include shows that already have a following such as UnREAL, a Lifetime send-up of reality TV set around a false The Bachelor type show, available on February 3rd. Another set of shows that are sure to be popular is anything in Shondaland (Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away With Murder) which will be available on February 12th

What is really getting a lot of press is a new original series called 11.22.63. The show is based on a novel by Stephen King and produced by J.J. Abrams, and it follows the a high school teacher played by James Franco who travels back in time to the date in the title.  From there, he attempts to prevent the JFK assassination as well as dealing with the effects of time travel that often occur in stories like these.

Netflix

As for what is happening on Netflix, there is a complete list of what shows are coming or going here.  The subscription service continues to bring its subscribers new content, such as these original programs:

  • February 11: Love. According to Collider, there will be ten episodes of this series starring Gillian Jacobs and Paul Rust. This is a relational comedy by Judd Apatow, who is known for his racy romantic comedies like Forgetting Sarah Marshall and the recent Trainwreck.
  • February 26: Fuller House. DJ Tanner-Fuller is back as a single mom and Candace Cameron Bure will be back along with some members of the original cast as well as some new characters to make this revisiting back to Full House even more...Full. You can read our most recent article about it here.
