Square Enix is a video game company with two big franchises under their belt with Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 15, and those are just the unreleased new iterations of those series of games. Those that are fans of those games should know the good news and bad news: Kingdom Hearts3 is delayed until next year, but Final Fantasy 15 is slated for a 2016 Release Date.
It really shouldn't come as any surprise that Kingdom Hearts 3 probably won't be released until 2017. This is nothing that fans didn't already know, as Square Enix has two hit gaming franchises that will be released with great acclaim by long-time fans. It simply doesn't make sense to release them at the same time.
Lawyer Herald also confirms what has not been confirmed, that Square Enix has not yet announced when it plans to release Kingdom Hearts 3. As it stands, very little is known of the game, other than the fact that the game will switch from the Luminous Engine to the Unreal Engine to create the game. This actually could be the cause of the delay in the game, which was expected to arrive in 2015.
Most of the talk about what Kingdom Hearts 3 is concerned about the tie-in with Disney. If you aren't familiar with the Kingdom Hearts series, it is about Sora and her friends being lost in a world that often incorporates characters from Disney as well as Final Fantasy. Most believe that Kingdom Hearts 3 could incorporate Disney worlds like the one of Big Hero 6, which looks like it will be making an appearance in Kingdom Hearts 3.
Even though Kingdom Hearts 3 has yet to have a release date, that hasn't stopped game director Tetsuya Nomura from talking about adding even more to the franchise, as reported by Youth Health Mag, but those plans are years in the making before they come to fruition.
So, it is isn't surprising that Kingdom Hearts 3 won't be out until 2017, specifically with so little information known about it. However, there is a lot of information known about Final Fantasy 15. I mean, it even has a demo about it. The beta has been completed!
There is also news that another playable demo could be on the way, but there won't be any more details on that until March. Considering that March will be the month where Final Fantasy 15 will have its long-anticipated release date, fans are looking forward to that. The event itself is all sold out, according to Attack of the Fanboy.
The date of the event, also known as Final Fantasy Uncovered, will be on March 30th at 7:00 PM Pacific Time, and it will feature "major announcements and surprises". Those that want to watch the event online or livestream can do so through Square Enix YouTube and Twitch channels.
Like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy is a franchise so steeped in mythos and story that it can hardly be described to anyone that isn't already familiar with it. There is a new development as there could be a mobile game or some sort of companion app available for it, according to separate article from Attack of the Fanboy. More details on that coming in March.
