Grammy Awards 2016 Live Streaming Tonight (CBS) : Watch 58th Grammys Online Free, TV Channel, Nominees, Performers And Red Carpet

Feb 14, 2016 01:25 AM EST

The 58th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on February 15 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. This is the first time that the event is scheduled on a Monday, instead of the usual Sunday. It is a move seen as a way to capitalize on President's Day weekend and likely avoid any competition with music fans' Valentine's Day dinner plans.

For the fifth consecutive year, actor and rapper LL Cool J will host the show which will again be aired on CBS. Also for the first time, CBS viewers in the western US will be able to watch the Grammys live rather than just watching a local encore run.

The 2016 Grammys will have a stellar line of performances featuring a handful of tributes to late music artists. One of the most notable is for David Bowie, who will be honored by a special number by Lady Gaga. The Hollywood Vampires, composed of Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Johnny Depp and friends, will play a tribute to Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister.

Gary Clark Jr., Bonnie Raitt and Chris Stapleton will perform a tribute to blues singer B.B. King while Meghan Trainor, Demi Lovato, John Legend and Luke Bryan will perform a Lionel Richie medley. Furthermore, Bernie Leadon, Jackson Browne, Don Henley, Timothy B. Schmit and Joe Walsh will play a number in honor of Eagles's founding member Glenn Frey.

The event's string of live performances is comprised of a powerful lineup of music stars including Adele, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, The Weeknd, Ellie Goulding, Pitbull, Tori Kelly, as well as the cast of Broadway's "Hamilton."

Music's most prestigious and most coveted accolade has four popular categories, also known as the "Big Four" Grammys. They are the Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best New Artist, and Song of the Year. Listed below are the nominees for each of those categories. It does have a $5.99 monthly subscription fee but CBS is now offering a one-week free trial.

Apart from the actual ceremony, one of the much-awaited parts of the event is the red carpet show where music aficionados and fashionistas can have a look on their favorite artists' outfits. The E! Channel has been known to provide excellent coverage in this area and as with previous years, the media company's "Countdown to the Red Carpet" will be hosted by Giuliana Rancic along with Brad Goreski and Ross Mathews. It will kick off at 4 p.m. and will be streamed live on E! Online.
