Even though there is a heated backlash against the Duggar family's return to TV with "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," the family continues to promote the show through their blog. With a March 15 premiere date, the family is escalating their blogging and promoting. Interestingly, they think fans will love to know about each family member's favorite food.
On the family blog's latest post, the Duggars revealed what they each love to eat, which included comfort foods such as potatoes, macaroni, and cheese.
"Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have 19 children, each with their own personalities, likes, and dislikes," the post reads. "We thought you all would enjoy hearing each family member's favorite food."
The head of the family Jim Bob, in particular, loves tater tot casserole while his wife Michelle loves ice cream, homemade chicken, and dumplings. Their controversial eldest son, who is still in rehab, loves Chili Frito pie. Jessa, on the other hand, has a lot of favorites that she cannot choose just only one. Her list includes mostly Mexican food, though, such as fajitas, fresh salsa, guacamole, white queso, and pickles. The rest of the list can be checked on their site, including the little kids' favourite foods. Noticeably, the site's layout changed a bit as well.
While the post seems innocent enough, it seems like it is the family's way of making people forget last year's controversies. After all the sad posts on last year's controversies, talking about food seems like the family's way of saying they want a fresh start, as if they are re-introducing themselves to the rest of the world. They want people to see them as a regular Christian family again with mundane interests such as food. Still, angry fans still cannot help but rally against the family's return, even if Josh Duggar will not be part of this spinoff.

Fans do not just hate the family or the show, but they do not like TLC for even allowing this return to happen. For them, the network chose money over values, as reported by the Examiner.com. "There is a point where ethics should rule over money, and TLC has chosen money," one fan wrote. "I will not watch it and I pray most people won't." With "19 Kids and Counting's" cancellation last year, the network reportedly lost a significant amount of income.
