NFL Rumors 2016: Denver Broncos Looking To Bring Back Tim Tebow?

Over the past few weeks, the public saw how the Denver Broncos lost starting quarterback Peyton Manning and his backup Brock Osweiler. Given the team's current predicament, it seems Denver is in serious need of a new quarterback who can lead the Broncos to another possible Super Bowl win this season.

Following Peyton's retirement and Osweiler's decision to sign with the Houston Texans, various sources started to speculate regarding who could be the team's new main passer. Because of this, various names have been associate with the team including Colin Kaepernick, Robert Griffin III and Ryan Fitzpatrick.

But aside from these athletes, new rumors suggest that the Broncos might be considering to sign Tim Tebow for its 2016 roster, The Blow has learned.

Tebow began his NFL career after he was drafted by the Broncos in 2010. During his time in Denver, he managed to lead the team to a playoff win against the Pittsburgh Steelers during the AFC Wildcard event. However, they lost at the second round when they faced off against the New England Patriots.

Then, in 2012, after being released by the Broncos, Tebow ended up with the New York Jets. He only played for one season with the team before joining the Patriots. He then signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in April of 2015 but was then released in September, according to Sports Page Network.

Bringing back the 28-year-old athlete might work for Denver since he currently does not have a team yet. Also, since he has a history with the Broncos, he can use this to his advantage to adapt to the team's playing style.

But even though nothing has been confirmed yet regarding a possible deal between the Broncos and Tebow, there are a lot of factors to consider first about the return of the latter to Denver. For one, the Broncos is likely looking to snatch a quarterback who can, at least, guarantee another Super Bowl appearance for the team.

Although Tebow is popular in the world of the NFL, his athleticism and skill set is a bit lacking especially for a team that's targeting to secure another championship this season. This suggests that even if the Broncos is considering Tebow, he is most likely the team's last option if it doesn't get Kaepernick, Griffin or Fitzpatrick, Ecumenical News reported.

Of course, this can all change if Tebow expresses his desire to return to the Broncos and prove that his performance has vastly improved from the last time sports fans saw him on the field.
