UFC 200 Updates & Rumors: Rafael Dos Anjos Not Happy With Diaz vs MacGregor Rematch, Says He Can Beat Both of Them

Days after Conor McGregor faced off with Nate Diaz at UFC 196 earlier this month, the MMA promotion company is reportedly already trying to finalize a rematch between the two for the upcoming UFC 200 event. Although this is good news for fight fans, it seems Rafael Dos Anjos is not happy with the plans for the second fight.

As noted by MMA Junkie, even before UFC 196 went down, Dos Anjos was already set to face off against McGregor. However, the former was pushed off the fight card due to a foot injury. This then led the UFC to book Diaz to go up against McGregor in UFC 196.

However, everything changed after Diaz forced McGregor to tap put via rear-naked choke. Originally, Dos Anjos was supposed to fight McGregor in UFC 200 in July but due to the plans for a rematch, it seems the Brazilian mixed martial artist is once again left without an opponent.

Immediately after hearing about the McGregor vs Diaz rematch, Dos Anjos fired off a tweet to share what he thinks about the two fighters.

"McGregor vs Diaz 2 makes no sense, I would beat these 2 guys on the same night," he tweeted.

But, according to new reports, even if the Diaz-McGregor 2 pushes through, Dos Anjos will still get a fight at UFC 200. According to MMA Mania, Eddie Alvarez has already expressed his interest to take on Dos Anjos in a championship match for the UFC Lightweight title.

He made this clear by posting a picture with the hashtags UFC200 and AlvarezVsDosanjos.

But aside from the lightweight contender, another possible opponent for Dos Anjos is current UFC Welterweight champion Robbie Lawler, Bloody Elbow reported.

According to Ali Abdel-Aziz, manager of Dos Anjos, his fighter is willing to bulk up and move to an upper weight class to face Lawler in the Octagon for a title match. However, this may not happen just yet since the manager said that the UFC has other plans for Dos Anjos.

As for the UFC 200, the upcoming pay-per-view event is scheduled to take place on July 9 at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena. No fight cards have been finalized yet for the event.
