Android 6.0, 6.0.1 Marshmallow Release Date For Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, Note 4, S5, S5 Sport on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile

It is known that Samsung Galaxy S7 variants comes with pre-installed Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. For other gadgets like Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, they are starting to receive the update in different parts of the globe. The South-Korean tech company also started seeding Android M 6.0 and 6.0.1  to Galaxy S5 models, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge.

Now, here's the latest update about Android M rollout to different Samsung gadgets.

Galaxy Note Edge

Sprint announced that Marshmallow update is coming to Galaxy Note Edge users. The new operating system comes with software version N915PVPU4DPD, and it introduces the latest Android security patches and bug fixes. The update is being released gradually, so users should expect to get it by May 2.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

For Sprint Galaxy Note 4 users in the United States, they are now starting to receive the latest version of Android M OS with version N910PVPU4DPC1.  The 6.0.1 edition of Marshmallow also lands on Note 4 users under US Cellular. For the international variant of Galaxy Note 4 with SM-N910C serial, they are also getting their taste of Marshmallow.

Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 Sport

Samsung initially released Android 6.0.1 upgrade to Galaxy S5 variant that has a model number of SM-G900L in South Korea. Now, the new firmware is rolling out to many Galaxy S5 models with SM-G900F serial. Also, Sprint has released the latest Android version 6.0.1 update to Galaxy S5 and its ruggedized edition called Galaxy S5 Sport.

For more Android M-related news, T-Mobile is finally going to update its Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 variants to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow via over the air (OTA).  CNET reported all Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 device under T-Mobile should get their share of Marshmallow before May 20, so expect a notification in the next couple of weeks.

When the update notification arrives, users should make sure that their devices are fully charged because this particular upgrade contains 1.34 GB of files. Also, be sure to connect to a stable Wi-Fi before downloading to avoid unnecessary installation problems.
