Gamers are patiently waiting for the launching of Sims 4 on PS4 and Xbox. Today's reports say the game is now in the development and could be become available sometime this year. Now, here's the latest round up of update about Sims 4 release date on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Last year's reports say Sims 4 will land on gaming consoles this summer. However, the launching did not happen, leaving some to wonder about the latest developments in the game.  Neurogadget reported game developers encountered a technical problem while converting the game to console versions. While this is disappointing to gamers, it is a good sign that Electronic Arts (EA) is working hard to convert Sims 4 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Industry experts say game developers may just want to make sure that the game is free from lags, screen freezes and other bugs. Instead of rushing to launch the console version, it is good thing that developers want to create a fully functional Sims 4.

Furthermore, there's a rumor that EA officials decided to postpone the release of The Sims 4 console version to launch the game with all DLCs and updates. The gaming company reportedly wants to increase the likeability of the game and encourage PC gamers to buy the much-improved console version. The rumor makes sense since gamers wouldn't want to play an empty Sims 4 without DLC and updates.

There are also special features in the upcoming console version of The Sims. The title is said to feature a Pet expansion pack that will let players create and adopt cute animals. In addition, the feature will introduce "Create A Sim" option for pets that will allow users to change pet's characteristics and personality.

Earlier this year, EA released Romantic Garden DLC for the game. The next game add-ons are Restaurant Game Pack and Kids Stuff Pack. The latter is said to be released in the coming summer.

For the restaurant-themed DLC, International Business Times claim it could be announce in the next couple of weeks. In the teaser below, it shows characters are enjoying a restaurant atmosphere with a a red-uniformed waiter.

While waiting for the launching of Sims 4 on PlayStation and Xbox, The Sims Freeplay has new additions for gamers. Characters can participate in a Spa Day, which a 12-day community event. While having a massage and facial, players can collect gems to win the ultimate prize: a spa sanctuary, as per reports from iDigital Times.
