Frozen 2 is currently in the works after Disney confirmed it earlier this year. However, there are complaints about the rumored lesbian love story angle in the movie. Some fans are worrying about its impact on children. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Frozen 2 plot and release date.

According to a Telegraph report, a Twitter user known as Alexis Isabel started the discussion about the movie's LGBT story line. Her post with a hashtag (#GiveElsaAGirlfriend) caught the attention of thousands of users. Moreover, fans suggested that homosexual couples must be given significance in mainstream media, and Frozen can start that trend. The Bit Bag reported that the sequel has the chance to prove its concern for LGBT community.

Furthermore, Frozen 2 production team is in favor of LGBT rights. They also want to send a message to society. The team stated in an interview that they find the movie as a tool to educate children.

"If we don't have a decent message in there, I think we've missed an opportunity," director Chris Buck added.

However, there are also tweets that oppose the requests of having a lesbian love story in Frozen 2. According to Breitbart, some users do not want to have a change like that, especially in an animated children film.

Meanwhile, there are rumors about Frozen 2's plot that Anna will be revealed as not a legitimate daughter of the dead King and Queen of Arendelle. Then, she will transform into an evil character as Rapunzel will enter into their lives. Anna will then attack Rapunzel and Elsa. In the end, Anna will return to her old self and Rapunzel and Elsa will treat her as their sister.

As of now, the production team doesn't announce anything yet about the plot of the sequel.

"Frozen" tells the story of Princess Elsa who struggles to master her magical powers to reconnect with Anna, her sister. The first entry in the movie is more about sisterly love, and not the usual story of a princess and her prince.

As for the production, the first directors of the film, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, are set to develop the project with producer Peter Del Vecho for Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Disney's Frozen 2 is expected to hit theaters in 2018. According to The Variety, the movie producer revealed the plans for the film during the Walt Disney Co.'s annual shareholders meeting in San Francisco last March. The announcement was made by the chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, John Lassiter, and Disney chief Bob Iger.
