Today's smartwatches can perform a ton of novel tricks, and choosing which is the best is a tough task. Many tech companies are also racing to develop the most advanced wearable in the market. Now, we'll give you a comprehensive review of Samsung Gear  Fit 2, Fitbit Alta and rumors about upcoming Apple Watch 2. We'll also give details about their release date, specs, and price.

Samsung Gear Fit 2

Let's start with Samsung Gear Fit 2.  This new wearable from Samsung offers more features than the original Gear Fit, giving what buyers are looking for in a fitness tracking device. It has automatic exercise detection, detailed progress charts, specialized mobile app and improved viewing mode.

The Gear Fit 2 is compatible with any Android device that runs on Kitkat system or higher. There's still no report if the wearable has iPhone support. Furthermore, it sports a more vibrant 1.5-inch curved touchscreen display and GPS tracker for different sports activities.

The second-generation Gear Fit has 4GB of internal storage. This amount of storage can contain hundreds of songs, which can be played through Bluetooth headphones -- no phone required.

CNET reported Samsung Gear Fit 2 will be priced around $179 and will be available in black, blue and pink on June 10. Interested buyers can pre-order the smartwatch starting June 3.

FitBit Alta

Compare to other smartwatches in the market, FitBit Alta has fashionable and trendier design. Also, it has scratch-resistant OLED display cased in stainless steel. Its display is convenient and easy to see. Users don't have to open the device all the time to see how many steps they've taken, distance travelled and calories burned. Additionally, the wristband can automatically detect when its wearer is doing high-intensity activities.

One of FitBit Alta's best features is its battery life.  The wearable can last for up to five days per charge under heavy use.  Interestingly, it can function for about a week under moderate use. With longer battery life, buyers can definitely do more activities without worrying about the device's power.

The Verge said the FitBIt costs $130.

Apple Watch 2

As of now, the details about the Apple Watch 2 are still scarce, but Tech Insider gave details about some of its features. It is rumored the wearable will offer a FaceTime camera so users can make video calls from their wrists.  It could also have better battery life and more independence from the iPhone.

Apple introduced the first generation Apple Watch two years ago. Its successor might come in September this year, where the Apple will likely unveil the iPhone 7.
