Samsung is known for developing top of the line devices in the market, so it is not surprising gadget lovers are now asking about the latest in next-generation Galaxy Note. The much-awaited Galaxy Note 6, which could be called Galaxy Note 7, is rumored to have advanced Iris Scanner and Android Marshmallow once it becomes available in August this year.

International Business Times reported Galaxy Note 6 will officially launch as the Galaxy Note 7. Industry experts say the rebranding is an effort to match the series number of Galaxy Note to the current Galaxy S smartphones -- Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and S7 Active. It is also reported Samsung found some buyers think the Galaxy Note 6 is a generation behind the Galaxy S7. So, lifting the series number of Galaxy Note series to 7 is a smart move for the South Korean phone maker. Moreover, popular American blogger Evan Blass posted on Twitter that the next Galaxy Note could be called Note 7.
Latest reports claim the over-sized smartphone would sport an advanced iris scanner. A leaked screen shot of beta firmware from Samsung's Galaxy Beta Program reveals an authentication request for using fingerprint, PIN and iris scanner.
Compare to fingerprint sensor, iris scanning technology is 1000 times more accurate and it has a very low error rate. Some tech experts say if this technology lands on Galaxy Note 6, it will strengthen the device's security feature.
For operating system, Ewan Spence of Forbes says Android N should be installed on Galaxy Note 6. Partnered with new features, innovative design and powerful processor, Android N will be a good addition to the device. However, a report claims the Galaxy Note 6 will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Additionally, the device will sport a 5.8-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, partnered with waterproof case design. Inside, the device will be powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor and 6 GB of RAM. It could also have 64 GB and 128 GB storage options and microSD expansion slot.
