Developer Rockstar Games is now working hard to launch some its much-awaited games this year. The developer recently released the PlayStation 4 version of The Warriors, a 2005 PS2 and Xbox brawler game. Also, rumors suggest the Red Dead Redemption 2 may become available before the year ends.

The Warriors is a game adaptation of the 1979 cult film. It was playable on PlayStation 3 over PSN back in 2013. Interested gamers can now download its new version on PlayStation Store for $14.99.

The PS4 version of the Warriors has better graphics at full 1080p scale. In addition, it has support for trophies, Remote Play and Share Play. The game has a unique mix of beat-em-up gameplay and an action-adventure narrative, with several open-world features. Players can control different members of the game's namesake gang as they sprawl around New York City. Prepare to face rival gangs like the Baseball Furies, the Moonrunners and the Turnbull ACs.

Additionally, the game adaptation is both a prelude and an epilogue to Walter Hill's adventure. It features the group's key encounters to New York's gang battles.

According to IGN, the Warriors is a good example of game adaption. It shows the events preceding the cult gang-fight movie it was based on, giving fans fresh look on the story.

Meanwhile, rumors around the internet claim Red Dead Redemption 2 might be released before the year ends. Gamers are hopeful that the game is now under development since its map leaked earlier this year.

Many were expecting that Rockstar Games will announce Red Dead Redemption 2 at E3 2016, but the game remained a no-show.

Strauss Zelnick, Take Two Interactive CEO, previously said that they will be coming to E3 2016 event in a "big way." Some fans believed it is about the sequel of Red Dead Redemption. However, the company didn't reveal anything more than "Mafia III."

It remains a mystery if the Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released this year. There are also reports that say the Red Dead franchise may only have one title, but it is not yet confirmed.

For now, gamers can play the original Red Dead Redemption on Xbox One, thanks to console's backwards compatibility program. Xbox Live Gold members can now get the title for only $7.50. For everyone else, it is available for $10.50.
