Despite being a humanitarian and doing a lot of good deeds, former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow still gets criticized by a lot of people. The latest anti-Tebow campaign happened after he prayed with the family of a man suffering from a medical emergency on a plane.

This occurred last month as Delta Airlines flight number 1772 was traveling from Georgia to Arizona. According to the story detailed by passenger Richard Gotti, which was confirmed and tweeted by ABC reporter Jeffrey Cook, an elderly male passenger suffered from what appeared to be a heart condition during the flight.

The other passengers and flight crew then rush to the man to perform various life-saving procedures. Then, Tebow walked over to the wife of the old gentleman and stayed with her to pray over the man. He did this until the plane landed in Phoenix and the man's condition stabilized.

The incident was picked up by various news agencies which mainly reported on how Tebow assisted the family during the medical emergency. However, despite being a truly heart-warming piece, numerous social media users began pouring down on Tebow to criticize him and what he did.

Some pointed out the fact that Tebow prayer rally with the other passengers got in the way of the flight staff's medical procedures while others noted that the whole thing was stages. Other users also said that Tebow only jumped on the opportunity to increase his publicity.

As the article posted by the Orlando Sentinel pointed out, the level of hate that Tebow got after helping the elderly passenger is very disconcerting. For one, here is a man who used his faith to step forward to help another person who was clearly in need, and yet he gets criticized for it.

Instead of viewing the story as it is, which is an inspiring account of people helping and saving others, some people still find a way to turn it around and transform it into something negative. In Tebow's case, he oftentimes gets criticized due to his religious beliefs, which is a clear sign of persecution. Still, given his background and personality, will still continue to do a lot of good things no matter what his critics say because that's just the type of person that he is.

It's just really sad though, that despite the good deeds that he has done, some people will still continue to view him and his faith in a negative light.
