There's no doubt that Pokémon Go is one of the most popular mobile games today. However, the augmented reality game from Niantic is only available in several countries like Australia, New Zealand, the U.S. and, most recently, Germany. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Pokémon Go release date for India, Philippines, Brazil and Japan.

Although the game has been released in some western countries, gamers should have a little patience as developers are now working hard to release the game in Asia as soon as possible. Japan Times published the game will be released in Asia "within the next 48 hours."

Interestingly, Kento Suga, marketing manager in the Asian region for Niantic Inc., said Pokemon GO will be released in Japan very soon. "It will take a bit longer in Japan. Please wait patiently for a bit longer," Suga posted on Twitter.

It is also possible that Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture will hold a Pokémon Go event to attract travelers and gamers, according to Eriko Furusaki, an official from the Tourism Planning Division of Kanagawa Prefecture. The tourism office previously conducted an event for "Ingress," Google's location-based territorial game similar to Pokémon Go.

In Brazil, Rio de Janeiro's mayor expressed his interest in the game. In a Facebook post, Mayor Eduardo Paes asked Nintendo to release the game in his city before the 2016 Olympics games begin. With the gathering of the world's best athletes, it is interesting to see where Pokemons would appear in Rio de Janeiro. Would Pokémon Go creators grant Mayor Paes' request? Let's wait and see.

In India, Pokemon Go is not yet officially available on Android devices or the iPhones. However, given the way Android works, users can easily download Pokémon Go APKs -- app installer files -- and access the game in the country.

Players in unsupported countries can download APK of Pokémon GO in this link. Take note that this version is not an official release from Niantic and it might contain malware. Also, downloading illicit versions of the game can allow hackers to exploit user's personal information, so be aware.

For iPhone users in other parts of the world, they should create a new Apple ID that has Australia/US/NZ/Germany address. They can do it by logging out their current Apple ID on their device. After that go to Settings > General > Language & Region and change the region to Australia, US, Germany or New Zealand. Search for Pokémon GO app in iTunes, and it should be there, ready for installation.
