ZTE is now taking preorders for its most powerful phone. The Axon 7 costs $399.98, and its shipping starts on July 27. The Axon 7 is a 5.5-inch Android smartphone that has support for Google's Daydream VR system. On the other hand, OnePlus 3 poses as the smartphone's biggest rival. Now, here's what is currently known about Axon 7 pre-order, specs and price.

ZTE introduced Axon 7 last month. Interested buyers can now order it through retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, and ZTE's official website.

The Axon 7 sports quad HD AMOLED display. ZTE says the smartphone was designed by experts from Designworks, a BMW Group company. By the looks of it, the phone has premium touch at every angle. Also, it has dual SIM card slots that are compatible with GSM networks, such as T-Mobile and AT&T.

Camera-wise, it has 20 MP main snapper with dual-tone LED flash and 8 MP secondary cam for selfies. Inside, it is equipped with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage and a long-lasting 3,250 mAh battery, as per report from CNET.

Interestingly, Axon 7 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor, which is a high-performance CPU with a maximum clock speed of 2,200.00 MHz. The processor also makes the device more powerful to meet Google's Daydream VR system requirements.

Speaking of Daydream, it is a VR platform that is scheduled to become available this fall. Google says the hardware and software platform is aimed to help Android smartphone manufacturers to create their own VR headsets. Owners of Axon 7 have the privilege to experience first the immersive VR technology of Daydream.

The Axon 7 is a great value for its specs, but it faces stiff competition from other budget-friendly devices in the market like the OnePlus 3.

Many tech enthusiasts say the OnePlus 3 has outstanding features for an inexpensive handset. This $399 device boasts Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and 6GB of RAM. Also, it has speedy performance that rivals reigning Android handsets like LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7.

However, it has lower camera pixel compare to Axon 7. OnePlus 3 only features 16MP main camera and 8MP front camera. Regarding battery capacity, it also lags behind Axon 7. The OnePlus 3 smartphone is only powered by a 3,000mAh battery.

With that being said, do you think ZTE's Axon 7 can outlast OnePlus 3? Let us know in the comments.
