The next set of free games for Xbox Live Gold members has been announced. The lineup for August 2016 includes a triple AAA title and a bunch of indie games. On the other hand, we're still waiting for the next month's PlayStation Plus free games.

Here's the latest round-up of update about Xbox Live Games and PlayStation Plus free games for August 2016.

Microsoft's Major Nelson announced August 2016 free games for Xbox One are Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate and WWE 2K16. For Xbox 360 owners, they have Spelunky and Beyond Good & Evil HD. Take note that these Xbox 360 games are also playable on Xbox One, thanks to Backward Compatibility.

Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate ($59.99 ERP) is available from August 1 to August 31. This is the latest title in the series. It features more than 120 playable characters, which can be played freely in three-character teams.

For the other Xbox One free game, WWE 2K16 ($39.99 ERP) is available from August 16 to September 15. This wrestling simulation game features huge roster of characters. It has also excellent gameplay that will definitely love by avid WWE 2K fans.

Xbox 360's Spelunky ($19.99 ERP) is playable from August 1 to August 15. This indie game from Derek Yu is quite challenging. Players have to go deep underground and explore areas that are filled with traps, monsters and treasure.

Last but not the least, Beyond Good & Evil HD ($14.99 ERP) is accessible in Xbox 360 from August 16 to August 31. This 2003 action-adventure game from Ubisoft puts players in the shoes of Jade, a young reporter who investigates a terrible government conspiracy.

As for PlayStation Plus free games next month, we expect Sony will announce the lineup this week. Subscribers will be able to download the new roster of titles for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita on August 2.

Interestingly, Sony has apparently leaked a title from the lineup of PlayStation Plus free games for August 2016. Yakuza 5 accidentally appeared in PS Plus listing this month, but later, Sony removed it in the list. Many subscribers believe the company mistakenly placed the game which is meant to be added next month.

Yakuza 5 is an action-adventure game from Sega. It features five playable characters in five settings across Japan. Also, it has two different game modes: Combat Mode and Adventure Mode.
