Whenever there is a new Android operating system update, you can be sure that there will be folks sniffing out different avenues as to when that particular version of Android will hit their smartphones. With Android 7.0 Nougat being released officially not too long ago, first hitting Google’s very own devices, it looks like LG are the ones right next to jump aboard the Android 7.0 Nougat bandwagon. We do know that the LG V20 would be the first device to roll out with Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box, but what about the Nougat update for the likes of the other flagship LG G5, its predecessor LG G4, LG G3, LG G Stylo, and LG V10? Those too, are on the brink of receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Apart from that, we have also heard whispers that the flagship LG V20 smartphone will be picking up the Android 7.1 Nougat update when available.

LG V20 and LG G5 Android 7.0 Nougat release
With the LG V20 having a highly anticipated release date of the end of October in many countries (the LG V20 already rolled out in South Korea at the end of last month) with Android 7.0 Nougat in tow, you can also be sure that the LG G5 will shed off its Preview Program Nougat goodness that it experienced earlier this August for a more official stance with the Nougat update arriving this November at the earliest.

Not only that, it is also widely speculated that the LG V20 will pick up its Android 7.1 Nougat update not too long after it rolls out. This would not come across as a surprise, and it would certainly make the LG V20 as the leader of the pack should that materialize when it picks up the Android 7.1 Nougat update.

LG V10, LG G4 and LG G3 Android 7.0 Nougat update
The LG V10 is a multimedia powerhouse even until now, and it is in LG’s best interest to continue ensuring that the device would pick up some Android 7.0 Nougat love along the way. LG V10 owners will have to be a wee bit more patient though, waiting for anywhere from 5 months to half a year from the Android 7.0 Nougat’s release. That should leave ample time for testing in order to make sure that your respective devices will not end up with a gimped version of the operating system update.

What raises eyebrows would be the aged LG G3 picking up the Android 7.0 Nougat update. While the LG G3 is already a couple of years old at the very least, it has been spotted in a benchmark test that carries the spanking new mobile operating system. I suppose we will all know for sure when there is an official statement released.

Conclusion
All in all, we can do our part to prepare for the Android 7.0 Nougat or Android 7.1 Nougat release by making a back up of all our important files, messages and photos on the respective devices. This would also free up more space for the update installation when it arrives.
