In case you missed the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on PlayStation and Xbox One, both Sony and Microsoft are offering limited promos that you should grab before they end. It includes a price cut on the PlayStation 4 for Sony and free controller and Ubisoft game for Microsoft.
Microsoft has launched a deal of free controller when you buy the new Xbox One or Xbox One S. This will only run until Saturday, Dec. 10. It is available in Microsoft Store, Amazon, Target, GameStop, Best Buy and Wal-Mart. You have to grab one now before you will need to buy it for $60.
According to Gamespot, the one Microsoft is giving away is the Bluetooth-enabled one that was launched back in August along with the Xbox One S. If you want a controller with better wireless range, this is for you. This amazing deal also comes with a free Ubisoft game. The console is bundled with games such as Gears of War 4, Battlefield 1, FIFA 17, Madden 17 or Minecraft.
On the other hand, Microsoft’s rival Sony has recently announced a price cut on PlayStation 4. The Uncharted 4 PS4 Slim bundle will be sold for just $250 in the US. It’s the same deal the company also offered on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The promo will start on Dec. 11 until Dec. 24. As for those in Canada, it will available until Dec. 29 for $330 CAD. The bundle comes with a slimmer PS4 model, a 500GB hard drive, a DualShock 4 and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Apparently, this deal has been successful during the Black Friday weekend that Sony decided to bring it back for the Christmas season. It is also a good strategy for the company since this promo makes its console cheaper than Microsoft’s Xbox One. However, Microsoft may have followed Sony’s deal as it also just announced that it will offer a $50 discount on Xbox One S starting Dec. 11.
Sony recent revealed that the sales of the PS4 have already passed 50 million units worldwide as of Dec. 6. It should be noted that the Xbox One dethroned PlayStation as the best-selling console in the US. It has stayed that way since July. Though the NPD Group is yet to release the sales report for November on Dec. 15, PS4 might have taken back the number one spot. A spokesperson for Sony has confirmed this news to Gamespot. They have not provided a further statement regarding the report. However, Xbox Marketing VP Mike Nichols’ recent statement suggests otherwise.
