The goodness of Android 7.0 Nougat looks as though it is about to set on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, which is yet another of Samsung’s tablets. This is certainly a step in the right direction, as Samsung has focused far more on their range of smartphones when it comes to getting the latest version of Android up and running, as opposed to having done the same for their collection of tablets. At least we do know that the Galaxy Tab S2 is not being neglected in this particular department!

On Geekbench’s online database, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 was seen running with a version of Android 7.0 Nougat. This translates to a very high chance of it running on the latest version of the Android mobile operating system. It ain’t too shabby actually to see the Galaxy Tab S2 with Android 7.0 Nougat in tow, taking into consideration how Google had rolled out Android 7.0 Nougat officially in August last year, kicking things off with their very own stable of Pixel and Pixel XL as well as Nexus devices. After all, this is the modus operandi that Google had taken ever since they had their own brand of hardware in the market, as it makes perfect sense to look after their own house first before others.

Android 7.0 Nougat offers far more than just better security and a more stable build, it will also boast of Daydream VR support that will help usher mobile devices into a whole new era of interactivity, in addition to the likes of new emoji that will be able to let you communicate better, a GIF keyboard, as well as Google Assistant.

Samsung might not have Android 7.0 Nougat up and running on most of their hardware at the moment, where only the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge were seen with their respective versions of Android 7.0 Nougat in January this year, making the Galaxy Tab S2 with Android 7.0 Nougat a highly encouraging sign that things are looking up on Samsung’s side. Of course, we would certainly not rule out the very real possibility of the Galaxy S8 flagship device that is set to be revealed in the near future to have Android 7.0 Nougat in tow.

Do take note that just because a particular device has been spotted with the latest version of Android, this does not automatically translate to a surefire fact that the Galaxy Tab S2 will indeed pick up Android 7.0 Nougat in the near future. After all, it is far from difficult when it comes to creating a fake image of benchmark results as a form of a red herring. However, just in case that it is genuine, then do prepare for some Android 7.0 Nougat goodness very soon.

Should the screenshot prove to be real, at least it would mean that the Android 7.0 Nougat market share will see an increase in the future, as so far Nougat has managed to penetrate just slightly more than 1% of all Android devices out there.
