Former “19 Kids & Counting” stars Josh and Anna Duggar happily celebrated their son Marcus’ birthday as he turned 4 on Friday, prior to the arrival of the couple’s fifth baby.

"Great time with family and friends celebrating Marcus' birthday!" the Duggars wrote as a caption for a slideshow of photos from the birthday party on their family's official Instagram account. Josh and Anna Duggar also shared a photo of their birthday boy with his grandparents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. Marcus even showed off his new Nerf, darts, and other gifts he received for his fourth birthday, as reported by Us Weekly.

The Duggar family already wished Marcus an early “Happy Birthday” message when they posted a picture of him wearing two hats over his head. "Happy birthday to our fun-loving Marcus!" they wrote as a caption for the Instagram post. "You are a treasure! We love you, sweet boy!"

Josh and Anna Duggar are also parents to seven-year-old Mackynzie, five-year-old Michael, and 22-month-old Meredith. The couple officially announced their fifth pregnancy last March and will be welcoming a baby boy this year.

“We've learned that a life of faith and rebuilding a life together is simply done one day at a time. As we continue our journey as a family and rebuild our lives, we are delighted to share with you that we are expecting a new baby boy later this year,” the Duggar couple posted on their family's website. “Beauty comes from ashes and we cannot wait to see and kiss the face of this sweet new boy.”

Latest reports are suggesting that the new season of “Counting On” is already being filmed, and eldest Duggar sibling Josh is returning to reality TV. Amid the controversies surrounding the 29-year-old, he is reportedly prepping up to make a comeback on the family’s spinoff series on TLC.

Josh Duggar came under fire for the molestation controversy that the Duggars reportedly attempted to cover up; he was confirmed guilty of molesting five females during his teenage years. His victims included four of his younger sisters and one of the Duggar family’s babysitters. Josh was also revealed to have subscribed to marital cheating website Ashley Madison.

Such incidents resulted in the cancellation of the family’s hit reality TV series- “19 Kids and Counting.” Expressing remorse for his acts, Josh Duggar decided to participate in a rehabilitation program carried out at a faith-based facility; after completing the program, he has slowly returned to taking part in the Duggar family’s activities. Fans are now looking forward to the Arkansas native making a regular appearance on the upcoming “Counting On” season.

On a further positive note, the Duggar family continues to be surrounded by courtships, engagements, weddings, and pregnancies. Joy-Anna Duggar tied the knot with Austin Forsyth on May 26, 2017, after her sister Jill Duggar-Dillard, pregnant with her second baby, returned to the country with husband Derick and son Israel from Central America. The family also announced that Joseph Duggar is now engaged after months of courting Kendra Caldwell.

All these family events and celebrations are set to be featured on “Counting On” season 3 to be aired on June 12 on TLC.
