Interserve USA will hold a conference from 9AM to 3PM Saturday, June 5, at the Agape Christian Church in Pasadena, California. The event, "Professionals in Missions" will highlight how God is using professionals to build His Kingdom in North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

During the conference, workers on home leave will share on-the-ground realities from their areas of service and encourage those considering cross-cultural ministry. The event open to those with an interest in using their professional skills overseas or supporting those who do.

Speakers include Interserve USA's newly appointed Executive Director, Douglas Van Bronkhorst, Fuller Seminary School of Intercultural Studies Dean, Dr. Douglas McConnell and Interserve workers serving in the Arab World and Asia.

Sessions include: "Does the Church Need the Mission Agency: Missions Today and the Role of the Church", "Speaking through the Mouth: The Life of a Dentist in Central Asia", "Seeing the Future through a War Zone: A Report from Central Asia", "Building Bridges through Development, Do Professionals Need Theological Training", "One Hug at a Time: Short-term Teams to Asia", and "Waste Management in Asia".

Interserve is an international fellowship of Christian professionals and highly trained individuals from 20 countries, serving cross-culturally. For 152 years Interserve personnel have been serving holistically the peoples of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia, regions where a large majority of the peoples have never heard the message of the Gospel.
