• Two Catholic Priests Murdered in Mexico, Bringing Current Murder Rate to 30 Priests Since 2006

  Two of the church's priests at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Poza Rica, Veracruz state, Mexico, were found dead on Monday, and were last seen Sunday. The bullet-ridden bodies of the priests were found on a roadside.

  An old man captured by ISIS was previously a prayer leader in a mosque in central Mosul was given a prophesy in his dream about the end of ISIS in the city, and his dream was spread in the city which concerned the group. After the leaders of the group heard about the news, the militants raided the man's house in Tahrir district in Mosul and captured him.

  On September 6, 2016 the Islamic State (ISIS) released a video online which showcased a shari'a school that it operates in its Al-Khayr Province, featuring its young pupils - "the cubs of the Caliphate" - discussing their aspirations of martyrdom, instructing citizens on approved clothing and grooming, and fighting on the front lines.

  More than 5,000 have been killed and at least 3,200 others are still being held, according to a recent U.N. inquiry. Families have been ripped apart, and survivors and escapees have been forced to take shelter in crowded, rundown camps, one of them near Mount Olympus. One human rights lawyer has decided to do something about it. "I think the international community should be ashamed that they haven't done more for the Yazidis," said Amal Clooney.

  Police have hamd Khan Rahami in custody after a dramatic gunfight in which two police officers were injured and Rahami was shot multiple times. Rahami was afterwards taken to a hospital.
