A six-foot-one University of Iowa graduate student from Hong Kong has admitted to punching 78-year-old pro-life advocate Donna Holman on Wednesday morning. Holman was holding an anti-abortion sign near a Planned Parenthood office in Iowa City, hoping to steer mothers away from infanticide when she was struck in the back by Man Chun John Ma.

Chemical Weapons Attack in Damascus Kills Hundreds of Syrians, U.N. to Investigate Against Assad, Rebels
Hundreds of Syrians were killed early Wednesday morning in an alleged chemical weapons attack against the Syrian National Coalition in a suburb east of Damascus. President Bashar al-Assad's army denies that it used poisonous gas, however, and has suggested that rebel forces may have used chemical weapons themselves. The United Nations had arrived three days prior to lead an investigation of the ongoing civil war in the country.
