I was delighted when I first encountered the Christian Post. As a Christian journalist, I am constantly frustrated with secular reporters and media who make no effort to disguise their desire to create a society where anything goes. Their hostility toward traditional values -- and sometimes even a hatred of evangelical Christians -- are plainly evident in the way they cast their stories and pound the (anti)moral home.

So it was a genuine pleasure to visit ChristianPost.com and discover an evangelical Christian media company that makes plain its commitment to Matthew 5:37, "Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'." When so many "Christians" apologize for believing anything at all, it is refreshing to read a publication that stands without apology for the truth Jesus taught.

I also am pleased that the Christian Post emphasizes the faith that binds believers together, rather than the differences that separate us as denominations. While I cherish my own denominational heritage, I also realized long ago that a love for God and a passion for His mission cuts across those lines and transcends barriers that too often divide us.

I was excited to hear about the Post's plans to launch a nationwide print publication. It is a daring venture that could make a real difference in turning our society away from the social and moral chaos others are encouraging. Christians need a publication that brings us news without an anti-God slant, that applies God's truth to the lost world around us, that reminds us of the Mission to which we are called as God's people.

I am glad the Lord has brought the Christian Post this far. I pray that He continues to give them greater success in advancing His kingdom.
