Nashville, TN -- IndieHeaven.com and Mission of Mercy are teaming up to sponsor Hope For Sri Lanka- a benefit concert to raise funds for Tsunami victims. The event will be co-headlined by Clemency and Plain Jane, two of Christian music's most popular independent bands. Critical favorite Clemency has earned rave reviews for its self-titled debut CD, and Plain Jane was recently named on of the top 10 independent bands by Christianity Today. Roads to Rome lead singer Mike Musick will open the show.
The benefit concert will be held January 28th at Crossroads Community Church, Building 8, at the historic Factory in Franklin, a popular shopping and entertainment complex in the Nashville suburb of Franklin, Tennessee. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the event will start at 7:00 PM.
"We had already planned this event as a taping for a television pilot called Live @ Bldg 8, a weekly TV show featuring independent artists from our IndieHeaven website,"says IndieHeaven founder Keith Mohr. "What it has turned out to be is much more important. We will use this event to raise funds for the tsunami victims in Sri Lanka, and to support the excellent work by Mission of Mercy."
Tickets for this event are $5.00, and an offering will be taken during the concert. All proceeds will go to Mission of Mercy and their efforts in Sri Lanka.
