Pacers vs. Pistons Nov. 5th, 2013 Preview
The Pacers have started the 2013 season with a 3-0 and they are looking to go 4-0 for the first time in nine years. The visiting team has defeated Pistons for five consecutive seasons and is attempting to achieve six wins.
"We're competing for one seed (in Eastern Conference)," coach Frank Vogel told Pacers' official website. "We said from the opening day of training camp, that's what we're going after.
"It's going to be a battle but we're off to strong start. We've got to keep it going."
In Saturday's game against Cleveland Cavaliers, the Pacers outrebounded by 51-37 and won the game by 89-74. Lance Stephenson scored 22 and Paul George added 21 and 13 rebounds, which helped the team achieve 3-0 for the second time in three seasons.
The Pistons, on the other hand, won their first two home games, but loss Friday to Memphis Grizzlies in an overtime with 111-108. On Sunday, Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond posted double-doubles and Brandon Jennings scored 14 points in 30 minutes, defeating the Boston with 87-77.
The pitfalls for the Pistons so far is their turnovers - 60 through three games.
"Our defense is usually pretty good but when we have turnovers, it's tough to get back and defend," said coach Maurice Cheeks. "It's something we have to keep working on."
