GTA 5 Online Heists DLC Update; GTA 6 Release Date and Rumors

With the massive success of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V, this has led to a lot of questions about what Rockstar can do next.  There are rumors of plans of more GTA V Online Heists Update, but the bigger question is when GTA 6 will have its release date.

According to the Master Herald, there might be some more content brought to GTA V as there is a leak that could bring some new updates.  Included with these are 12 assassination missions, 23 mystery missions, a brand new map, and...a jetpack?

Apparently, this leaker comes from a reliable source, as this community member has given valid tips in the past.  The brand new map is apparently a new place to play known as "The Clifford City", and there plans to the Casino DLC there.

We have reported on the Casino DLC before, and how there plans to be mini-games of various games that can be played in any casino, like roulette or blackjack.  What is interesting is how there are rumors that the Bahamas Night Club could be part of the Casino DLC.  Already, players can access the Bahamas Night Club by way of a glitch.  So will the one of the new Heist missions involve ripping off a Casino located on or around the Bahamas Night Club?  Players can only hope.

As for the jetpack, the code that has been uncovered that is related to it might also be related to the Parachute DLC.  In other words, why jump out of a plane with a parachute if you can just jetpack away?

One of the issues with GTA V is when they will run out of DLC for it.  Once that happens, they are out of story, and the only thing left to do is have an upgrade.  So far, there have been a lot of rumors about what will happen with GTA 6

A recent one comes from Moviepilot, that Rockstar wants the protagonist of GTA 6 played by the one and only Ryan Gosling.  The setting would be Vice City, with the time being the 1980s.  They say that it could be released as early as 2017.

The Franchise Herald says that GTA 6 will probably be released in between 2018 and 2020, which is quite a few years away.  Rockstar president Leslie Benzies assures fans that the company does have a long term plan for the gaming franchise series, and has "about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do".

On what looks to be an unofficial site for GTA 6, many have speculated a release date for GTA 6 to be sometime in 2018, at the earliest.  There has been long stretches of time in between versions with the least being two years and the most being 7 years.  A five year gap is about average of those two, so why not?  Keep in mind that the Sony PlayStation and Xbox version will probably be next-gen by then, so GTA 6 should be compatible with the PS5 and Xbox...whatever.

Rumors of what would be in GTA 6 abound.  Some have suggested that it could take place in London, as opposed to the fictional Vice Cities in America. Some other fan demands would be a strong female protagonist, because the role of women has been criticized in the game.  That female protagonist seems to be a very big demand, so that probably will happen.  Fans are also demanding that the game should have a look of taking place within the 70's, as well as a new city and more missions to explore.

Whatever the case, fans will have to wait a long time before GTA 6 is out.  Until then, GTA V players will have to see if the rumors of a casino plus more missions will be given to them.
