The "Vampire Diaries" Season 7 viewers will anticipate fresh new characters as Elena will not be included in the cast this coming season, Christian post said.
Nina Dobrev has made her decision to leave the show after being in the show for six seasons. However, new characters have arrived to make this season's show a must-watch this fall.
According to Wet Paint, "Variety reports Legend of the Seeker alum Elizabeth Blackmore has been cast as Valerie, one of Lily Salvatore's (Annie Wersching) heretic family members. In addition to her strong magic, Valerie also has a dark, moody attitude. She doesn't fit into the Mystic Falls way of life and doesn't agree with Lily's peaceful ways, so she'll take matters into her own hand and will "start a dangerous chain of events that will change Mystic Falls." Valerie will first turn up in the Season 7 premiere."
Another character has been added at the end of Season 6 and before Dobrev has finally left, Kai has casted a spell to Bonnie and Elena. Although, Elena's character will not be totally disappear in Season 7, Bonnie will be seen as long as Elena will be in deep slumber.
The Christian Post added that according to show creator Julie Plec, "There will be an even greater number of flashbacks and flash-forwards for the upcoming season."
In the Season 6 finale of The Vampire Diaries, the story seemed to have jumped into the future a few years. The show seems to have taken a sci-fi like turn, with a dystopian Mystic Falls.
"The time jump is part of the narrative and story of episode 1," show producer Caroline Dries was quoted by TV Fanatics from an interview with EW. "Why are there boarded-up windows? Why is there garbage everywhere? What the heck happened? Why is Damon standing on that clock tower looking so pissed off?"
Dries did not provide details how far into the future will the story will jump but said the answer to the question would be revealed in the season premiere. She added, "The conflict of season seven will become the Salvatore brothers vs. their mom and her family of heretics. It's going to be two warring factions pitted against each other."
Meanwhile, according to Elena's screen love team, Stefan, played by Paul Wesley, he is looking forward to move on with his love life and the love triangle in the coming season at Mystic Falls, IBTimes reported.
