NBA Rumors: Houston Rockets' James Harden Kardashian Romance Cost Loss to Denver Nuggets; Dwight Howard, TY Lawson Take Over

The Houston Rockets have been pegged as one of the potential NBA title contenders this regular season. With the addition of TY Lawson in the James Harden basketball squad, the NBA team is expected to lay off less on its tendency to depend too much on Khloe Kardashian's current beau. While that plan seemed great on paper, some fans and followers of the Houston Rockets still believe that James Harden will remain as the major basketball star in the roster. However, rumors are rife that the NBA MVP runner-up might just be too distracted by the personal issues he currently faces, thereby affecting his performance in the hardwood court.

It could be recalled that James Harden and Khloe Kardashian have announced their romance earlier this year. However, the drug and alcohol overdose of former Los Angeles Lakers athlete and Khloe Kardashian's estranged hubby, Lamar Odom, saw the reality star dropping everything and rushing to the hospital. Apart from that, the news of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom calling off their divorce proceedings surfaced immediately after it was revealed that the NBA star is showing signs of recovery - a move that now poses questions to the relationship of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star with James Harden. As if things are not muddled enough in this rumored love triangle, sources are now sharing that Khloe Kardashian and James Harden are still a couple/

"James [Harden] has been very supportive and awesome," shared Khloe Kardashian, referring to the stand of her Houston Rockets star boyfriend with regard her relationship with Los Angeles Clippers player Lamar Odom, according to an interview with PEOPLE.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star further revealed, "He's been great with me." While this may seem like a promising description of her current romantic status with the Houston Rockets shooter, the 31-year-old reality star disclosed that she is highly aware of the potential repercussions of her decision to stand by her estranged husband in her current relationship with James Harden. Khloe Kardashian said, "His [James Harden] season is starting. And I'm just allowing everything to unfold. If it's ever too overwhelming [for him], then I understand that as well."

Meanwhile, the absence of Dwight Howard in the Houston Rockets team was felt during the game against the Denver Nuggets. Pegged as one of the favorites this season, the Houston Rockets exhibited an underwhelming performance with a 105-85 loss to the former NBA team of Ty Lawson. However, the James Harden squad remain optimistic that things will turn around for them eventually. With Ty Lawson adamant on his desire to show that his focus solely lies on the Houston Rockets and the impending return of Dwight Howard, the NBA team might be making a comeback soon.

"I'll get there," said Dwight Howard, referring to the path towards achieving a workable rhythm with the other members of the Houston Rockets roster, according to Chron. The big man added, "The main thing is as the season goes, I get better every month. You don't want to start too high. You don't want to start too low. You want to build up as the season goes. It's just one game. It's a marathon. Our job is not to be perfect in the first game. Our job is to sustain enough energy to go out there and play as hard as I can for as long as I can and progress as the season goes."
