2016 NFL Trade News: Terrell Owens Calls Philadelphia Eagles’ Sam Bradford a Coward Due to Trade Request

For some time now, rumors about Sam Bradford wanting to be traded away by the Philadelphia Eagles have been going around. But for Terrell Owens, the former wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks, this alleged move by Bradford is a bit cowardice.

Rumors about the trade surfaced after various sources stated that the Eagles is targeting to get quarterback Carson Wentz for its roster. And, as the draft weekend rolled by, sports fans saw how the team took advantage of its rank by getting Wentz as its No. 2 pick.

Even before the team signed Wentz, reports are already saying that Bradford is not happy about the Eagles' interest in getting the young athlete. According to sources, he feels that this is an insult to him as the Eagles is quietly making a move to acquire a new starter for the team.

Because of this, Bradford reportedly said that he wants to be traded away by the Eagles.

For Owens, on the other hand, Bradford should just accept what the team wants to do with the roster. He also noted that Bradford should be confident about his own skills and avoid worrying about the newcomers to the team.

"It's Sam Bradford's job to lose," he told TMZ Sports. "I think it was not a great move for Sam to want to request a trade being that they were getting a #1 pick."

"If it were me...that's kind of a sign of a coward, to be honest," he added. "It shouldn't matter who they're drafting or who's coming in."

For now, it's not yet clear what the Eagles will do with Bradford's request. Although some might think that there is still a chance for the quarterback to change his mind about Wentz and the entire team, the athlete had already said that he's not planning on attending the Eagles' off-season programs.

As for Owens, the last time he played in the NFL was in 2012. However, in 2015, he stated that he's looking to make a comeback in the league. Then, last month, it was reported that the Los Angeles Rams is looking to sign Owens.
