Electronic Arts (EA) is working hard to release The Sims 4 immediately to the current-gen consoles. However, latest reports say the game developer encountered technical glitches while porting the game to consoles. Now, here's the latest round-up of update about Sims 4 release date on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. We'll also give updates about the Dine Out DLC.
Game developers Maxis and The Sims Studios reportedly run into significant technical glitches, causing them to postpone the release of Sims 4 to gaming consoles. Rumors around the internet say the console version of the game might become available in early 2017.
Interestingly, the console version of previous Sims games became available immediately. The previous Sims 3 was ported to gaming consoles the same year it was released. However, the Sims 4 was released two years ago and its console version is still not available.
As of now, Maxis and The Sims Studios are tight-lipped about the developments in the console version of The Sims 4. Several tech websites hint the game could also come with Pet Expansion pack. As the name suggests, the pack will allow players to create and adopt cute animals. In addition, the feature will introduce "Create A Sim" option for pets.
There are also rumors that say game developers postponed the launching of Sims 4 console version because of the upcoming Dine Out expansion. Game developers previously announced they are currently busy developing expansions for the game.
Speaking of new expansion, iDigital Times gave updates about the contents of Dine Out game pack. Dubbed as "Simstagram," Sims will be able to post their food selfies and be awarded with new moodlets. Game developers teased fans about the upcoming feature in a post on Twitter.
Food photography is one of the main features of Dine Out DLC. All the pictures that characters have taken will be added to an inventory. Characters can also decorate their home with beautiful pictures from all the dishes they have tasted.
Furthermore, the upcoming expansion pack will allow characters to own restaurants and go outside to eat. They can also become involved in discussions about food and recipes. The game developer released details about the "experimental dishes" which will be served in the game.
