‘Fallout 4’ Far Harbor DLC Release Date, Problems, Delays, Tips, and Easter Eggs; Is More DLC Coming Soon at E3 2016?

Fallout 4 is considered quite a success, and that is saying something, considering it is a follow-up to the megahit game Fallout 3.  Bethesda is still giving players something new as it has released three big DLC (downloadable content) packages to players.  The first was Automatron ($10), which arrived last March.  The second is Wasteland Workshop ($5), arriving last April, and now there is Far Harbor, priced at a high $25.  This is what is known about Fallout 4's Far Harbor DLC with its problems, delays, tips, and Easter Eggs, not to mention the possibility of more DLC.

As far as the release date is concerned, you should be able to download Far Harbor already.  However, Gotta Be Mobile reports that there were delays in Asia on the Xbox One and PC.  There are also reports of problems with the Far Harbor DLC, and the number one complaint deals with the frame rate issue that is caused by the dense fog around Far Harbor.  Bethesda is, of course, working to resolve the issues, and you might want to check the fixes for common Fallout 4 problems as well as Bethesda's support forums for more help.

In spite of the delay and glitches, is Far Harbor worth it?  Most have reported that the land is as big as advertised, with lots to explore.  Right now, it feels like gaming is switching to a new business model where players purchase overpriced DLC, but Far Harbor looks to be worth the investment as it has a new main quest, weapons, and armor.

For those that haven't begun their personal journey to Far Harbor as yet, there are some things that you need to know.  Bethesda states that players must complete the "Getting a Clue" on the main quest line, which is one of the initial quests.  If you want to double-check to see whether or not you, a Fallout 4 player, have already completed it, just go to the Getting a Clue Wiki.  You will also want to listen to the Valentine's Detective Agency Radio for the quest "Far From Home".  The good news is that Far Harbor doesn't require your character to be a specific level before you begin, unlike Automatron.

If you are having trouble in Far Harbor, there are a lot of tips out there about how to beat it, like this particular list on Reddit.  By the way, Far Harbor has many Easter Eggs that you will want to check out for yourself.  While you are at it, you might want to purchase the official Far Harbor T-shirt

So that is the Far Harbor DLC in a nutshell.  Considering that Fallout 4 players have shelled out a lot for a Season Pass that entitles them to more DLC in the future, this would be a good time to ask if there will be any DLC in the future.  Bethesda has said that it will, but hasn't said what.  It is possible that more information will be revealed at E3 2016, the big video game convention held annually in Los Angeles, but we will have to wait until June 14-16 to find out.
