The Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition Contents, Pre-Order, Release Date and Price

However, GameSpot reported player's saved data from the original the Witcher 3 will not be readable to the new version in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year (GOTY) edition will be released to major gaming consoles and PC on August 30, 2016. This $49.99 package comes with over 150 hours of game time and a bunch of DLCs. However, GameSpot reported player's saved data from the original the Witcher 3 will not be readable in the new version.

Community manager Marcin Momot wrote on the game's forums that player's saved files on consoles will not be compatible on the Witcher 3's GOTY edition for the system reads them as different objects. In addition, Momot said the premium edition of the game will have a separate Trophy and Achievement list. Players should also expect there will be a patch near the launching of the new version.

The complete edition of the Witcher 3 will contain all previously released DLCs, such as Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. These two DLCs are critically acclaimed and loved by gamers. They both add depth and breadth to game, giving gamers a much more thrilling adventure.

Furthermore, the Witcher 3: Game of the Year Edition will provide additional content including new weapons, armors, companion outfits, side quests and game modes. According to game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, all improvements and features will be added to the game along with the 16 FREE DLCs, as per the report from PlayStation Lifestyle.

For buyers that like to get the most for their money, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year is an excellent choice. Also, The Elder Scrolls VI won't become available soon so it is a good decision to get the complete edition of the Witcher 3.

A review from IGN says The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has straightforward and fetch-quest-heavy main story. Players can also take side quests when they start to burn out. The game has massive world and well-drawn characters. In terms of gameplay, it has responsive combat and deep roleplaying. IGN rated the game at 9.3/10.

Developed by CD Projekt Red, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released in May 2015. Since then, it became an instant classic, winning more than 250 Game of the Year awards.
