Rumors surrounding New England Patriots football coach Bill Belichick sending a letter to Trump a day before elections was confirmed as of today.

The confirmation came from no less than Republican candidate Donald Trump himself who also shared the letter's content on his Manchester, New Hampshire rally last night. He said his aide handed him the letter while on a flight for the New Hampshire rally, and he readily contacted Belichick to ask for permission for the letter to be read at the venue. Apparently, Belichick agreed.

Although sportscasters Tom Curran and Steve Burton have already confirmed of the authenticity of Belichick's letter, people weren't convinced until all the buzz at the New Hampshire rally.

The American football coach's support for Trump clearly shows on his letter, with the in-toto contents found below:

"Donald, Congratulations on a tremendous campaign!! You have dealt with an unbelievably slanted & negative media & have come out of it beautifully. You have proved to be the ultimate competitor and fighter!! Your leadership is amazing!! I have always had tremendous respect for you, but the toughness & perseverance you have displayed over the past year is remarkable. Hopefully, tomorrow's election results will give you the opportunity to Make America Great Again!! Best wishes for great results tomorrow, Bill Belichick"

Reports say Belichick may have been caught off guard, not realizing that his private email would be read out loud on a campaign rally. As Edge of Sports' Dave Zirin says, "Very good source: (y)es Belichick sent the letter. No, he had no idea it would be read out loud. Play with snakes, get bitten."

Belichick is yet to comment on the letter leak, and his New England Patriots team is mum about the issue as well. The coach's public relations officer instead released a statement, saying that Belichick will be available for public interview by Wednesday, a day after elections.

This is big news for U.S. voters who have never heard or seen of Bill Belichick campaign for Trump. Belichick has always been known to be a private person who avoids delving into politics and other distractions outside the football arena. He is infamous for being aggressive only inside the football turf.

Along with Belichick's letter is an on-going rumor that Tom Brady, New England Patriots' star player, has also expressed his support for Trump. Although Trump has also confirmed of this, rumors abound until Brady responds to this inquiry. As of now, no confirmation has been received from Brady's camp.
