After losing Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade, the Miami Heat are finding themselves in need of a new player who could fill the void left by these two. This is why the team should make a move to acquire Greg Monroe from the Milwaukee Bucks.

The offseason has been pretty rough for the Miami franchise. After losing Bosh due to his recurring blood clot condition, Wade left the team to join the Chicago Bulls. The absence of these two star players then left the Heat in need of a new superstar.

For one, aside from taking a hit in terms of the team's offense and defense, the Miami organization is also facing a problem with their fans. Without a clear star player, Miami fans are starting to lose interest in watching their team's games. In fact, according to CBS Sports, the number of empty seats during home games is starting to become a glaring issue for the franchise.

To reinvigorate fans, Miami needs to get someone who's exciting to watch. Although it's a long shot to get someone as big as Stephen Curry, who's about to enter free agency next week, the Heat could probably settle for someone who still has the potential to become a superstar athlete.

For the team, this could be Monroe of the Bucks. Right now, Monroe doesn't seem too happy with his decreased minutes after losing his starting job, according to Yibada. With shorter minutes, Monroe has found himself struggling with his productivity on the court.

With the trade deadline getting closer, the Miami front office could take advantage of this by making a move for the center. This will then give the team someone to pair with Hassan Whiteside to improve the team's offense and defense.

As for Monroe, although he's still most likely be brought in as Whiteside's backup, he'll still get more opportunities to increase his playing time on the floor. With guards such as Dion Waiters and Goran Dragic surrounding him, Monroe will be able to forge an effective tandem that could increase his status as a player. If this happens, then Miami will also be able to solve its issue about giving something worth watching to fans.
