The Purpose-Driven Life

Have you ever wondered what is the purpose to our lives?

According to Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in California, it is not the question of “what is” but “what are.” Warren believes there are five purposed to every Christian life and they are: worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and mission, which he describes in his book The Purpose Driven Life.

Consistent with his purpose-filled attitude, he even invites readers to finish his book within 40 days by reading a chapter a day. He encourages them by drawing instances in the Bible where 40 days is significant, saying they represent a personal commitment to God.

Although easy-to-read, no content is compromised in Warren’s book. He packs the book with over 1,000 Bible verses to accommodate his short and effective sermon-like material. All the topics he covers are topics every Christian should think about on their walk of faith. There is no question to what he has to offer in this book is of high insightful quality.

Warren’s previous book was best-seller The Purpose-Driven Church. It has sold over a million copies in 20 languages and is the winner of the Gold Medallion. The Purpose Driven Life mirrors the same great power and inspiration found in The Purpose-Driven Church.

The book really ignites this hidden fire in the heart, calling the readers back to follow God’s original plan. I highly recommend everyone to read this book.
