Paul Colman Emerges as New Solo Artist with Inpop Records

Lead Singer of Trio Begins Newly

Paul Colman has begun his new career as a solo-artist, having finalized a contract under Inpop records yesterday. The lead singer of the Paul Colman Trio is opening this opportunity to glorify Christ through his singing gift that won the group a Dove Award this April.

“I am very excited about signing to Inpop records,” said Colman. “Peter [Furler] and I have been mates for years and it is wonderful to be able to now work alongside each other, making music that glorifies God and shares His love and grace with the world.”

The Gospel Music Association has named The Paul Colman Trio as “New Artist of the Year in 2003.” Radio and Records also named the group was also known as one of 2002’s Top Ten Breakthrough Artists of the Year. The trio’s debut album “New Map of the World was awarded a GRAMMY nomination for Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year, and also winning two #1 radio-hit singles. The leadership of Paul has won the group much recognition in many areas.

Newsboys Peter Furler, founder and co-owner of Inpop Records testifies of Colman. “Paul has been a good friend of mine for years and I love his heart. We cannot wait to be a part of his future because I think the best is yet to come for Paul Colman.”

Previously, Colman made his first appearances under Inpop at the Gospel Music Week 2004 festival, including interviews on late night showcases sponsored by the World Vision outreach organization.

After the signing, Paul’s plan of pioneering his music career includes making appearances in major festivals coming this summer such as Creation Festivals on both coasts, Rock the Universe at Florida’s Universal Studios, Kingdom Bound, and Billy Graham’s Crusade “Heart of America” in Kansas City .

Paul also made his contribution in the recent compilation of Christian contemporary worship album, the red WOW Worship album, also submitting a track to the recent Veggie Tale series Soundtrack and a soon-to-be release record from Waterfront Records in Nashville.
