"Southward Shift of Christianity" in Asia

Bible League reports that Asia is growing in the number of new Christians and the members are working diligently to keep the momentum going.

This phenomenon is known as the “southward shift of Christianity.” Bible League believes this serves as good news for those committed to the Gospel. The form of Christianity spreading in Asia is not the modernist, liberal Christianity that rocks the foundation of the world's traditional Christian societies. By sharing the Scriptures, the believers in Asia are gaining faith through the Gospel that is proclaimed in its truest sense.

In 1900, it was reported that Asia only composed of 3.7% of the world’s Christians. However new projections estimate that by 2025 the number will increase to 20%, which is very close to the percentage of Christians in Europe where the number is actually decreasing over the last few decades along with the United States.

Bible League is encouraging people to provide God’s Word to the new believers so that they may continue to grow in their faith and spread the Word.
