Those who have suffered from the classic syndrome of writer’s block need not suffer any longer. The cure is being offered through the Writer’s Blast Conference, which will be held March 7-10, where Christian author Ken Gire, will teach more than his secrets to the craft of writing but also the purpose a Christian writer has.

The event, which is in its third year, will be offered through the Glen Eyrie Group, a camp and conference ministry of The Navigators.

The 3-day conference will feature nine topics, beginning with “The Commitment of the Christian Writer” and concluding with “The Commission of the Christian Writer.”

Gire, who graduated from Texas Christian University and Dallas Theological Seminary with a Th.M. in Old Testament Literature and Exegesis, has over a dozen books to his name, including: “Intimate Moments with the Savior”, “The Reflective Life”, “Between Heaven and Earth”, “Windows of the Soul”, and “The Divine Embrace”. Two of his books are Gold Medallion Award winners including “The Weathering Grace of God”.

“Windows” is just one example of Gire’s gift of writing. The book assures us of the Father’s constant presence in our lives.

"We reach for God in many ways," says Ken in the book. "Through our sculptures and our Scriptures. Through our pictures and our prayers. Through our writing and our worship. And through them He reaches for us."

His books have received praise from many Christian figures such as Christian musician Michael Card who says, “I am simply amazed by ‘Windows of the Soul’. I believe it is not only the best-written book I’ve read in years, it is one of the most important. If you’ve been asking yourself, ‘Where are the Christian classics of today?’ you need ask no longer."
