About 1,500 people representing over 50 local churches gathered in Mizner Park Amphitheater on May 5 in Boca Raton, Fl., to kick-off the National Day of Prayer with the largest Freedom Rally organized in the country. It was the first Freedom Rally held in South Florida and was a prayer observance that was teen-led and teen-organized with Matthew Puchferran as the head teen coordinator. The event themed “Let Freedom Ring” went from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. During the prayer observance, people prayed for “The Freedom Five” topics: government, education, church, family, and media. There were also free giveaways, worship music, and dance performances.
