lThe Global GENESIS Network from Youth With A Mission has announced that the University of the Nations Campus in Jeju , South Korea, has just been added and the first link from GENESIS base Lausanne, Switzerland was reported on May 13, 2004.

“We rejoiced together, prayed and read Psalm 8,” said YWAM staff member Markus S. working in Jeju.

According to Markus, the first two bases in Budabest, Hungary and Lausanne, Switzerland, to link to each other via GENESIS in 1996 has many students from Korea in attendance.

Linking to GENESIS has been a long-time wish for students in Korea. “Many students have prayed and given towards GENESIS trusting God that one day YWAM Korea will be a part of the GENESIS Network,” said Markus.

“We want to say thank you to everyone who has been involved in the pioneering effort and together we want to point to Jesus and his great faithfullnees in this effort! We are looking forward to many links with our friends in Korea,” he said.

Markus and his wife Anita, who formerly served as the GENESIS international director will be set up as the head of the Lausanne base on May 16 at Lausanne Community meeting, commissioned by YWAM founder Loren Cunningham. Markus will be taking the place of former GENESIS international director Joe P. USA who has been the Lausanne base leader since 2000, along with his wife Judi.
