See You At The Pole (SYATP), an annual student-led prayer initiative, has announced details for its 2005 prayer event.

The theme for SYATP 2005, which will take place on Sept. 21, will be “PRAY! Call 2 me,” based on Jeremiah 33:3. This year’s theme was “Ascend: Clean Hands. Pure Heart,” taken from Psalm 24:3-4.

SYATP is now accepting requests for themes of future SYATP events, which will take place on September 27, 2006; September 26, 2007; and September 24, 2008. Each youth group can submit up to three theme requests based on specific Scripture passage and must be submitted by November 12 to dclark@nnym.org, reported See You At The Pole PERSPECTIVES.

In 1990, a youth group from the Ft. Worth suburb of Burleson, Texas began meeting at night at several schools during a weekend retreat. Their meetings began a grassroots prayer movement, which encouraged students from around the nation and world to began meeting at their school flagpoles to intercede for their leaders, schools, and families.
