Sacramento’s Largest Church Building to Open this Weekend

The Sacramento region’s largest church building will be opening this weekend, AP reported, Oct. 6.

The newly finished Adventure Christian Church in Rocklin sits high on a hill overlooking Rocklin's rapid expansion. Inside the large foyer is a full-sized bookstore and a welcoming coffee and expresso bar.

Next to the Arco Arena, the worship auditorium is Sacramento’s second largest auditorium, with 3,000 available seats.

"We're really the same church we've always been. We didn't have a lot of people. We didn't have staff or land or buildings or anything. So in the early days, all we could do was love people one at a time and teach God's word. That's still what we do,' said ACC’s pastor, Rick Stedman.

Even as the church opens this weekend, Adventure Christian officials are already planning expansion. They plan to add a full gymnasium, more classrooms and auditorium space.

The next "mega-church" will be opening early next year in Granite Bay. The Bayside Church will have 95,000 square feet of space.
