Senate Continues Discussions of FMA

The Senate continued its debate over a proposed amendment to the constitution that would define marriage as a union between a man and a woman only, on Tuesday, July 13, 2004. The senate is expected to vote by Wednesday. Currently, the amendment secured only about half of the votes in the senate; it needs at least three fourths of the votes to pass.
